Success at Data Centre Dynamics Middle East
On 9th May 2017 Data Centre professionals from the Middle East met at the Data Centre Dynamics conference and exhibition in Dubai, where Tyco’s Miguel Coll delivered a presentation on the impact of noise on Data Centre Hard Disk Drives and how the New Acoustic Nozzle from Tyco can help reduce this.
The event brought together business, operations and technology executives from the region’s data centre-scale organisations for a full day’s conference featuring expert panels, keynote presentations, interactive workshops and roundtables, plus an exhibition showcasing the latest data centre technologies.
As one of the event sponsors Tyco participated with both a speaking opportunity at the conference and with a stand space in the exhibition hall.
The presentation was given by Miguel Coll, Global Director for Engineered Systems at Tyco. Titled Fire Risks and Acoustic Solutions for Data Centres it addressed the particular fire risks associated with in a data centre environment and showcased the Acoustic Solutions that have been developed by Tyco to solve the impact noise can have on the higher capacity Hard Disc Drives now used in modern data centres.
With an audience of over 50 people, the presentation was greatly received and there were many questions asked about the new Tyco solutions.
On the booth Tyco’s new Acoustic Nozzle was displayed, as well as its full range of fire protection solutions including gas suppression and water mist. The stand attracted several good quality visitors including Telecom Carries in UAE, Dubai Police -- UAE, the National Archive & Archive Authority -- Oman, as well as Banks and contractors.
